If you need a fast, healthy cookie this is it. You don't have to turn your oven on, all you need is the stove top a few ingredients and you will have a healthy treat that the entire family will love.
I made 2 batches, just because I know my kids, they wont 3 or 4 cookies and I let them, because these are healthy and not a sugary treat. Alright you ready for this easy, peasy recipe!
Ingredients
1/4 cup fat free milk
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup natural peanut butter
1/2 tsp cocoa
1 1/2 cups oats
1/2 tsp vanilla
Directions
In a saucepan on medium heat, bring to a boil, milk, light brown sugar and butter. Add peanut butter, cocoa stir for 1 minute. Stir in oats and vanilla. Drop bites by spoonfuls onto wax paper or baking sheet cool until firm.

As soon as I read the title to this post, I went to the fridge to get an apple because I KNEW I'd be tempted. lol! These are my favorite cookies that my mom made when I was growing up. I can still remember reaching into the refrigerator and grabbing one (or more) from the cookie sheet and tasting the yummy goodness.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking me back. I definitely need to make some of these for my kids and keep the tradition going! Maybe for their first day of school next Monday! :)
Pamela, this looks delicious! I've pinned it and printed - planning on making this soon. Thanks for sharing.

I just pinned these. I know my middle one will love these because she could literally eat peanut butter for every meal! So glad to have found your blog! Tracy
ReplyDeleteThis is the second no-bake recipe I have bookmarked. It's just too hot to bake a lot in the summer, but these types of recipes allow us to still spoil the fam., and have fun creating w/the kiddos in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteNo bakes! My kids love them... and I love that I don't have to supervise!
ReplyDeleteGreat recipe.
