French Breakfast Donuts

In our house I am always baking something, be it something for breakfast or snack!  I love my little gadgets that I have, and when I buy a gadget I make sure I use it ALOT!  Maybe until my kiddies get tired of eating it, but I make so many different kinds of something, they love everything I am grateful for that!

I made a Valentine Treat for Breakfast, French Breakfast Mini Donuts with Vanilla Glaze!  If I must say so myself these little minis were delicious!
So let's get to the recipe~

Donuts
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/3 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1 egg
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup fat free milk
pink coloring
Glaze
1/2 cup fat free milk
2 cups sifted powered sugar
Directions
Mix light brown sugar and butter until combined well, add egg, pink coloring(for decoration) and milk and mix well.  Add dry ingredients slowly and mix well.  (Follow the directions of your donut maker)  Use small scooper and fill each donut hole and bake for 4 minutes take out and leave plain or put a topping on.

Mix milk and powered sugar together, dip donut in glaze and put topping on if you like.

  1. Oh yummy! May I please have one right now? :) I have donut pans for the oven, but I don't use them nearly often enough. I just might have to try these out SOON! My family would love that. Thanks for sharing.
