My kiddies like love sprinkles on everything, that's why I always buy the big bottles of all different kinds of sprinkles.
Since the kids mostly help me when it comes to making my treats for the house I ask them what would they like me to bake! So we were going through some blogs and J saw Aimee's Blog Shugary Sweets her Vanilla Bean Cookies with Heart Chocolate, he said oh lets make those. I tweaked Aimee's recipe just a little to make mine a little more healthier and I didn't add a chocolate in the middle, because if we had those Dove chocolates in the house I would have ate the entire bag REALLY!
We all love Valentine's Day in our house, because I do a little decorating, make Valentine treats throughout the month, and we make Valentine gifts for each other, and the next day February 15th is our wedding anniversary it will be 16 years for us I keep thinking WOW we have been married that long, I love my hubbie with all my heart, and my kiddies so this treat is for them. My taste testers gave this treats 2 thumbs up, these are YUMMY!
Cookies
3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
sprinkles
Directions
Mix butter and light brown sugar together, add egg mix completely. Next add your flour mixture in slowly and mix until all combined. Use small scooper, and scoop mixture into ball and coat with sprinkles, set on baking pan, continue this pattern. Bake on 350 for 12 minutes, let cool on wire rack!
